HR/Payroll Administrator

Description:
Seeking a HR/Payroll Administrator in assisting the HR and Accounting Departments in the day-to-day Human Resources administration and payroll processing. Preferred 2 years of experience in Human Resources as a Generalist or Payroll specialist
Responsibilities
-Verify and record keeping on hours worked for each employee each pay cycle
-Calculate the correct amounts incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a timesheet and payroll systems
-Prepare and execute pay orders through payroll system and distribute paychecks
-Administer statements of payment to personnel both electronically or on paper
-Administration of payroll processing, payment and benefit deductions for CFPU Union employees
-Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
-Administrator of online systems including timekeeping, HRCM, geolocation/GPS
-Maintain company inventory and asset records of employee uniforms, iPads, laptops, keys, tools, etc.
-Coordinate pre-employment testing and reporting
-Perform onboarding of new employees with hiring managers and through HRCM system
-Maintain proper compliance for confidential personnel data and files
-Office management responsibilities including receiving/sending mail and shipments, ordering office supplies, various reception and front desk duties
-Keep current on FLSA laws, HR and Payroll compliance rules in each state where CFP and its subsidiaries conduct business
Qualifications:
-AA degree or higher preferred
-Experience with union shops including processing of prevailing wage and union payroll reporting
-Ability to build rapport with all levels of employees
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Quick and efficient learner
-Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; and technical savvy with software and cloud based HRCM (BambooHR) and Payroll systems
-Professional appearance
-Sense of urgency and strong work ethic
